This is where this boat is at. For me the key reason I chose this boat was the saloon and decks. Visibility and safety is where its all at. The is almost the best boat in the world for that. This section will have a fair bit of discussion, but initially I will just throw up our latest addition which is a sun screen across the back of the boat. It serves two purposes, when anchoring into a South East the back of the boat is facing north west, i.e. into the setting sun, so this screen cuts down on the heat and glare. It also afford some privacy at marinas when we berth rear in – which we usually do.
Whilst at a recent Seawind Owners Pittwater Regatta I saw a canopy system designed by the owners of XL “Caberet”. Its a top idea where the sides roll out from the sail bag. Attached photos are from the iPhone so forgive the lack of quality.
